Fisher has burst onto the scene in SLC so much that beer drinkers might wonder what they did before (and old-timers might be confused by the resurgence of the once-defunct brewery re-started by a Fisher great great great grandson). Opened in 2017, Fisher has a rotating line-up featuring at least 9 beers and often more like 15, which are always solid and diverse, along with a selection of food trucks out front. Add to that the "come and have a beer in my personal beer garage" attitude of the owners and it IS a wonder what SLC beer-drinkers did without Fisher.

Wasatch Brewery founder, Greg Schirf, always had a knack for grabbing attention — at first just for making beer in Utah in 1986 (Utah's first brewery since prohibition), and then for making beer like Polygamy Porter ("Don't forget to take one home to the wives"). Schirf was a Utah pioneer in many ways forging the way toward more open laws and guidelines for breweries to deliver tasty sudsy products to Utahns.
