Midvale-based 2 Row Brewing, founded in 2015, boasts a strong line-up of regular beers like Dangereux Farmhouse Ale as well as with special and limited time series which you can find around town in fun-loving labeled bottles.

Since 2012, Bonneville Brewery has been crafting beers and keeping it local, like their signature Antelope Amber Ale named after Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. And luckily, you can have a Bonneville beer paired with a solid meal at their Tooele brewpub. 

Epic stormed the beer scene in 2008 with the bomber bottle model and ambitions that have taken them from a local State Street brewing facility to a sister brewery in Denver.  You can sample some of their beers at their "Tapless Tap Room."

The Hive Winery has been thinking out-of-the-box since the get-go. Based in Layton, their offerings include hard apple cider with seasonal variations. You can taste and buy at their production location.

Moab Brewery is proud to be Moab’s only microbrewery with beers inspired by their unique environment including Dead Horse Ale, Derailleur Red Ale, Rocket Bike Lager, and Over the Top Hefeweizen. Open seven days a week, Moab Brewery is a great place to rest up after an outdoor adventure. 

For those in need of a gluten-free fix (plus why shouldn't we have a solid cider option in a state that does pretty well at producing long-season fruit?), Mountain West Cider offers a tasty line-up for those who like very dry to less dry ciders. With a strong emphasis on community, Mountain West does its part to support local nonprofits like the VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center and Utah Pride Center among others.

Coming out of the gate in May 2018, SaltFire Brewing Co. has launched with bottled beers, including Dirty Chai Stout, a Single Hop Ale, and Füry Kölsch (which is a tasty collaboration with the Hop Bombshells homebrewers).

The tasting room is still under construction and is scheduled to open later in 2018.

Talisman Brewing Company, founded by a husband and wife team, brings Utahns a charm-inspired approach to brewing. Based in Ogden, Talisman's line-up includes 4% brews like the Killer Grove Blood Orange Wheat Ale to its "Talisman Presents" rotating limited series. 

While several of our local breweries have dabbled in sours and alternative ales, none have opened with the premise of focusing primarily on this style of beers. Toasted Barrel will definitely add some breadth to the funky genre for Salt Lake City.

Some of us may remember when Uinta was a younger upstart competing with the Utah Brewers Cooperative (Wasatch & Squatters brewing operation). They carved out their identity with a commitment to wind power and the first organic beers available among the Utah brewers. Their line-up now includes the ever-present Cutthroat alongside new and popular Lime Pilsner and limited-run large format Crooked Line series. They also have a Brewhouse Pub (21 and over only).

The Utah Brewers Cooperative — featuring the West Side Tavern and Beer Store — is the combined production operation for Squatters and Wasatch Beers. And with the Tavern, it's now a one-stop shop for beer to go and beer to stay and savor, as well as grab a bite to eat.
